Information We Collect

Store account information

When you install the App, we retrieve and store the following from your Shopify store account:

• Your store name and store URL
• Your myshopify.com domain, which identifies your store to the App
• The account email address associated with the store
• Your store's timezone and locale
• An access token issued by Shopify, so the App can act on your store with the permissions you granted

Billing information

Your pricing plan and subscription status, and your store's net sales over the last 30 days – the amount in your store's own currency, the equivalent in US dollars, and the conversion rate used. This figure exists solely to determine which pricing band your store falls into. We do not store your orders, order contents, or any individual order values.

Offer configuration

The offers you create: their names, headings, button text, colours and design settings, schedules, discount settings, and the product and collection identifiers you attach to them. This is content you author, and it is stored so the App can render your offers.

Offer performance data

When an offer is displayed on your storefront, we record anonymous events so you can measure performance in the dashboard:

• The event type – impression, click, or conversion
• Which offer and which product identifier the event relates to
• The monetary value associated with a conversion
• Whether the device was desktop or mobile

These records contain no identifier for the shopper. They cannot be traced back to an individual, by us or by you.

Permissions we request

The App asks Shopify for access to read your products, read your orders, manage script tags, and manage discounts. Orders access is used only to calculate the 30-day net sales figure described above. Discounts access is required so the App can create the automatic discount that makes an offer's saving apply at checkout.

What We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicit about this. The App does not collect, store, or process:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses of your customers
• Customer accounts, order histories or individual order records
• Payment card details or any other payment credentials
• IP addresses or any other identifier that would single out a shopper

No shopper personal data reaches our systems at any point.

How We Use Your Information

• Service delivery: to operate the App, save your offers, and render them on your storefront
• Discounts: to create and remove the Shopify discounts that back your offers
• Reporting: to show you how your offers are performing in the dashboard
• Billing: to place your store in the correct pricing band and manage your subscription through Shopify
• Support: to answer your questions and investigate problems you report
• Improvement: to identify technical faults and improve the App

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Storefront Data

Your offer configuration is published to your own Shopify store as a shop metafield, so your storefront can render offers without calling our servers on every page view. That configuration contains your offer settings and product identifiers – it holds no customer data, and it lives in your store, under your control.

The App stores one small value in the shopper's own browser, using sessionStorage, to remember that a popup offer has already been shown during that browsing session. It contains only the offer identifier, it never leaves the shopper's browser, and it is cleared when the browser session ends. The App does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. It is shared only where the App cannot function otherwise:

• Shopify – the App is built on Shopify's APIs. Reading your products, writing your offer configuration, creating discounts and processing your subscription all happen through Shopify
• Our hosting provider – the servers and database on which the App runs
• Legal obligation – where we are required by law to disclose information

Data Retention & Deletion

Your store account information, offers and performance data are retained while the App is installed, so that your offers keep working and your reporting history stays intact.

We support Shopify's mandatory data handling requests:

• Shop data erasure – when you uninstall the App, Shopify notifies us and we delete your store's account record from our database.
• Customer data request and customer erasure – we acknowledge these requests, and there is nothing to return or erase, because the App holds no customer personal data in the first place.

You may also ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing the address below, without waiting for an uninstall.

Your Rights

Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, or to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below and we will respond as promptly as we can.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access tokens are stored so that only the App can use them. Requests from Shopify – including webhooks and compliance notifications – are verified before being acted on, so we do not act on instructions that did not come from Shopify. Access to our production systems is limited to the people who maintain the App.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take these safeguards seriously and review them as the App develops.

Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our business practices, or our legal obligations. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated to merchants using the App.
